I (don’t) see London, I see France

Flying in from JFK, the English coast is just in view on the horizon and France is below us.

A good (but shy) dog

Near our hotel is a cake shop, with this very cute, very shy, and slightly lazy dog.

First day, first macarons

In an effort to stay awake, I kept bribing Taeko with various treats. These macarons were pretty good, but we were also pretty tired and still had several more hours until we could get into the hotel room to nap.

Taking a break at The Louvre

After walking around for about 4 miles, we needed to take a break. What better place than in the shade looking at The Louvre. The fountain was empty and off, though (like many others, it’s a dry spell in France)
